Background
Hogan Assessment Systems was developed in the United States by two professors at the University of Tulsa: Doctors Robert and Joyce Hogan. It was the first assessment system designed for the business community, focusing its purposes on the ability to predict job performance.
The development work was initiated during the 1970′s and by the end of the 1980′s the first version of the assessment system was ready for use. Further development of the assessment system is an on-going process. Versions currently being used were developed in the 90′s, based on the most recent research within personality psychology and management.
The Danish version of Hogan was developed by A&D resources in close collaboration with Robert and Joyce Hogan.
The Assessment System
The assessment system consists of three different questionnaires. The questionnaires, portraying different perspectives, offer descriptions of strengths and potential areas of development for each candidate. The assessments can be used as a set or independently.
Hogan Personality Inventory (HPI)
HPI measures the normal personality focusing on collaboration and management competencies. The assessment has 7 primary scales and 41 subscales. The questionnaire is comprised of 206 statements.
Hogan Development Survey (HDS)
HDS measures behavior that can potentially derail an otherwise promising career. The assessment has 11 scales and the questionnaire is comprised of 168 statements.
Motives, Values & Preferences Inventory (MVPI)
MVPI measures the candidate’s values and which career path(s) and organizational culture will suit the candidate in question. The assessment has 10 scales and the questionnaire is comprised of 200 statements.
Language
Hogan Assessments are currently available in more than 40 languages with more pending. Please contact A&D resources for information on the current languages available.
Administration
The system is web-based and easy to use:
The candidate in assessment is provided a user-ID and password. Once logged-in, the three questionnaires previously mentioned are then available to be answered online. Each questionnaire is estimated to take approximately fifteen minutes and once the questionnaires have been completed, the report is generated by a computer in a matter of seconds and sent to the respective company or party via email.
